The city encourages the community to utilize brush sites for landscape waste and avoid using dumpsters or the landfill. This program is free for residents. Bring an ID or current bill.

Residents can drop off any of the following yard waste items:

  • Brush
  • Tree limbs and trunks

Locations

  • 3401 Broadway - West of Ross Rogers Golf Course, between NW 24th & Hastings
  • 3718 S Eastern - Two blocks south of SE 34th and Eastern

Hours of Operation

  • Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 8 am - Noon

Benefits to Mulching and Composting

Mulching and composting is a great way to eliminate landscape debris. Love your lawn and help the environment by not throwing your clippings in a dumpster. Grass Clippings are a natural fertilizer and help hydrate the Lawn .

Free Wood Chips and Tree Stumps

Residents may pick up wood chips and tree stumps, when available.

Commercial Use

Commercial customers are ineligible to use the brush sites, as stated in the City of Amarillo Code of Ordinances (Code 1960, § 11-24; Ord. No. 5578, § 2, 3-18-86; Ord. No. 7732, § 33, 6-19-2018).
