City of Amarillo and  the Amarillo-Potter Events Venue District Motor Vehicle Rental Tax

The Motor Vehicle Tax is collected on the rental or lease of any motor vehicle that has been rented/leased for 30 days or less. 

The Accounting department is responsible for collection and reporting of Motor Vehicle Rental Tax. Reports and payments are due to Accounting by the 10th of the following month. Please use the Motor Vehicle Rental Report form provided below. For questions, contact the Accounting Department at 806-378-6200.
