The MPO is governed by a Policy Committee composed of local officials who make decisions on transportation plans and projects. This committee includes voting and ex-officio members who provide support and technical expertise.

The Amarillo Metropolitan Planning Organization Policy Committee meets quarterly in January, April, July, and October.
