For ease of service, Reduced Fare Identification Cards are issued free of charge by the City of Amarillo. IDs are available for:

  • Disabled individuals
  • Seniors
  • Students

ACT-Connect ID holders can use the Fixed Route service at the Reduced Fare rate. ACT-Connect ID can present their ACT-Connect ID card and do not need an additional Reduced Fare Identification Card.

    Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
    Located on the corner of 6th and Bowie.
  •  Secondary Office Location:

    Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Bring Required Documents

Ensure you have all necessary documentation to support your eligibility for the reduced fare program. Bring a photo ID and one of the following:

  • Identification confirming age eligibility (for seniors)
  • Student identification (for students)
  • Social Security award letter
  • Medicare card          

How to Receive a Reduced Fare

Disabled Individuals

Disabled individuals will receive a yellow-striped Reduced Fare identification card. The card can be presented to receive the Reduced Fare.

Senior Citizens

Seniors will receive a blue-striped Reduced Fare identification card. The ID card, a photo ID, or Medicare Card can be presented to confirm eligibility to receive the Reduced Fare. 

Students

Students will receive a red-striped Reduced Fare identification card. Students can use the ID card, or their student ID to receive the Reduced Fare.

Purchased tickets will be mailed directly to you via the U.S. Postal Service. Please allow a few days for mailing.
