Monday, January 22 through Monday, February 12 – North Branch, East Branch, and Downtown Library

Visit any of the participating Library locations and choose a book from the selection of paper wrapped books on display.  You won’t know the identity of your book until you get it home, but all of the books have been recommended by a member of the Amarillo Library staff for our monthly BookNews Staff Picks e-newsletter.   Return the entry form inside the book to be entered for a chance to win a grand prize—a $50 gift certificate—awarded to one lucky participant at each Library.  You must be 18 years or older to participate, and only one “Blind Date” checkout allowed per location, per day.  Books must remain wrapped until out of the library.  Drawings for the grand prizes will be held the morning of Tuesday, February 13, so all entries must be turned in by the time the Library closes on Monday, February 12.  Some books contain additional prizes such as vouchers for the Friends of the Amarillo Public Library book sale or coupons for discounts in the Friends Store!
