MODERN PERSPECTIVES on the HOLOCAUST:

Auschwitz & Birkenau: Amarillo College Students Share Their Experience

Saturday, October 15, 2:30 PM  ̶  Amarillo Civic Center Heritage Room (doors open at 2:00 PM)

Amarillo College and WTAMU Student Presenters

During Spring Break 2022, the Amarillo College Presidential Scholars Honors students, along with a group from WTAMU, experienced a transformative tour in Krakow and Oswiecim, Poland.

They will share some of their travel stories with the audience, including the emotions, realizations, and rich learning moments that took place as they visited the site of approximately 1 million deaths during the Holocaust.

Join us on this journey of remembrance and reflection. This Americans and the Holocaust related program is made possible, in part, by the support of Panhandle PBS, and the Friends of the Amarillo Public Library. Attendance is free and open to the public.

For more information, call Cynthia Hunt at (806) 378-6019 or email her at cynthia.hunt@amarillo.gov.
