Astor Piazzolla – the man who revolutionized 20th century music with his Nuevo Tango – was as complex and unforgettable as his melodies. He took Tango out of the back rooms and brought it to the concert halls of the world, but at what cost?  In That’s Not Tango!  Piazzolla finds himself alone in a place resembling purgatory, haunted by his music as he struggles to reconcile the choices of his past.  Fresh from performances at Lincoln Center, this stellar group of performers presents the raw intimacy of Piazzolla’s music, combined with a sometimes funny, sometimes tragic, always surprising dramatic narrative that takes you deep into the soul of this legendary artist.
