Public Health immunization services are designed to keep individuals in our community protected from various diseases. We provide walk-in immunizations for children and uninsured adults and offer a range of vaccines.

Immunization Fees
- $13.75 per immunization, with a maximum of $27.50 for children 18 and under.
- No charge for Medicaid clients under 18 years of age.
- No child will be turned away due to an inability to pay.
Available Immunizations
Public Health provides immunizations based on availability, and they include:
- COVID-19
- Hepatitis A (Hep A)
- Hepatitis B (Hep B)
- Hep A/B combo
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
- Meningitis (MCV4)
- Tetanus and Diphtheria toxoids (Td)
- Tetanus and Diphtheria toxoids and acellular Pertussis (Tdap)
Immunization services & information
Documents Needed for Immunizations
- Photo ID: Required for adults.
- Immunization record: Bring a copy of your own or your child’s immunization record. Parents must bring a current copy of each child’s immunization record.
- Consent form/authorization note: If a legal guardian is not present, a signed note from the legal guardian must be provided, which includes:
- The child’s name and date of birth
- The name of the adult (18 or older) bringing the child
- The name and signature of the parent or legal guardian giving permission
This ensures all necessary documents are in place for the immunization process.
Request Immunization (Shot) Records
Free shot records are available for immunizations given by the City of Amarillo Department of Public Health. Immunization records can also be searched in ImmTrac2, the Texas Immunization Registry, for vaccines provided by other healthcare providers. Please note that not all providers utilize ImmTrac2. A photo ID is required to obtain the shot record.
Shot records can also be obtained from the provider that administered the vaccine or from a school district.

Vaccine Titers are available if you need to confirm you have had a previous vaccination.
- Measles, Mumps and Rubella — Fee: $85.09
- Varicella-Zoster — Fee: $29.80
- Hepatitis B — Fee: $33.99
Who qualifies for Child Immunizations?
Any person who age is 18 or younger who:
- Is enrolled in Medicaid, or Medicaid pending
- Does not have health insurance
- Is an American Indian/Native Alaskan, or
- Is under-insured (has health insurance that does not pay for immunizations)
Who qualifies for routine Adult Immunizations?
Vaccinations are available to uninsured adults (age 19 and older), provided by the state Adult Safety Net (ASN) program.

Can I make an immunization appointment?
When is the best time to come to the Public Health immunization clinic?
The clinic is located at 850 Martin Road, Amarillo, TX and opens at 7:30 am. The Public Health clinic is typically less busy in the early morning.
Do I need to bring a shot record with me?
A shot record is required for individuals aged 18 and younger.
What if I do not have a shot record for my child?
If you come into the clinic and sign a consent form, the office can look up the immunization history in the State Registry (ImmTrac2) or in our system if you are a one of our patients.
Can my child be vaccinated if they are sick/runny nose?
As long as your child does not have a fever above 101 degrees, they may receive vaccines.
