How can I find out what my property is zoned as by the city?
A map of Zoning Districts for Amarillo city limits is available online. Locate your area on the map and utilize the Legend to see what your area is currently zoned as.
How do you find out what type of housing, business, development is allowed in a certain zone?

What is a minor plat, and when is notification needed?
A minor plat is when someone divides land into four or fewer lots, and all these lots face an existing street. It doesn’t involve extending any city services to these lots.
Notification is needed when replanning an area that has restrictions for no more than two homes per lot, either through zoning rules or deed restrictions. This ensures that affected parties are informed about the changes.
