The Public Health Department offers comprehensive Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) services, including testing, treatment, and education.

Services Offered

  • Exams for symptomatic patients
  • Testing for asymptomatic patients
  • Treatment for STDs
  • Education STD/HIV risk reduction counseling
  • Referrals to services
  • Linkage to medical care
  • Free risk reduction supplies (Condoms, lubricant etc.)

  • Gonorrhea
  • Syphilis
  • Chlamydia
  • HIV
  • Trichomoniasis (female only)
  • Urine Pregnancy  

Appointments

Call 806-378-6300 at 7:30 am to schedule a same-day appointment at the Public Health clinic.

STD Testing Fees

  • Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Syphilis and HIV — $20
  • Trichomoniasis — $8.72
  • STD treatment — $5
  • Urine Pregnancy test — $10

Providers: How to Report

Positive results can be confidentially reported using the DSHS STD-27 form, by phone at 806-378-6344, through a lab report, or any system that provides the needed details for case investigation.

For Potter and Randall county residents, send reports to the Amarillo Department of Public Health:

  • Patient’s full name
  • Address, city, county of residence
  • Date of birth
  • Sex
  • Race/ethnicity
  • Stage of diagnosis — signs/symptoms (syphilis only)
  • Type of test(s) performed, results, and date performed
  • Treatment provided
  • Physician/clinic address and telephone number
