Reduced Fare Identification Cards
Reduced fare cards provide reduced fare rates on Fixed Route services. Below, you’ll find information on eligibility, the application process, and how to obtain a Reduced Fare Identification Card.
Eligibility
Reduced Fare Identification Cards are available for:
- Disabled Individuals
- Seniors
- Students
If you hold an ACT-Connect ID, you can use the Fixed Route service at the Reduced Fare rate. There is no need for an additional Reduced Fare Identification Card.

Bring Required Documents
To process your application, bring the following documents based on your eligibility:
- Photo ID
- For Seniors: Identification confirming age eligibility
- For Students: Student identification
- For Disabled Individuals: Social Security award letter or Medicare card
Receiving Your Reduced Fare Card
- Disabled Individuals: You will receive a yellow-striped Reduced Fare Identification Card. Present this card to receive the Reduced Fare.
- Senior Citizens: You will receive a blue-striped Reduced Fare Identification Card. You can use this card, along with a photo ID or Medicare Card, to confirm your eligibility for the Reduced Fare.
- Students: You will receive a red-striped Reduced Fare Identification Card. Use this card or your student ID to access the Reduced Fare.

To obtain a Reduced Fare Identification Card, simply visit one of our designated locations during office hours and bring the proper documentation to support your eligibility. Our staff will assist you in issuing the Reduced Fare Identification Card, which you can then use to access the reduced fare benefits.
If I am age 65 or older, do I need a Reduce Fare ID?
A Reduce Fare ID makes receiving and paying for a Reduced Fare easier and quicker for Seniors. A photo ID or Medicare Card can also be presented to confirm eligibility to receive the Reduced Fare.
I am eligible to ride ACT-Connect but sometimes ride fixed route. Do I need a Reduced Fare Card?
No, ACT-Connect riders can use their ACT-Connect ID card to ride at the reduced rate.
I am a student. Do I need an ID to get the reduced fare?
A Reduce Fare ID makes receiving and paying for a Reduced Fare easier and quicker for Students. A student ID can also be used to receive a Reduced Fare.
How much does Reduced Fare save?
Reduced Fare is a 50% savings over regular fares and can be used for a single ride, day pass or monthly pass.
