Residential collection of refuse includes the use of dumpsters—large metal containers provided by the city, and designed for the efficient collection and temporary storage of household refuse. Dumpsters are strategically placed in alleys, providing residents with a convenient and centralized location for waste disposal. These containers are intended for regular household waste only.

Accepted and Unaccepted Residential Dumpster Materials

Dumpsters are designed for regular household waste. Please avoid placing the following items into dumpsters:

  • Heavy or bulky materials 
  • Avoid placing items on the ground in the alley.
