Apply Now for Spot on City Council Ballot

Want to run for Amarillo City Council? The time is now as Amarillo residents interested in serving their city can file an application for a place on the general election ballot through February 14. 

Candidate packets are available at the city secretary’s office in Room 303 of City Hall, 601 S. Buchanan. The packet includes a combination of information and forms combined to help potential candidates through the election process. 

The general election is May 3. All five seats on the city council will be open for two-year terms. All city council positions are at-large. 

A candidate orientation and drawing for ballot placement is February 20.
