The Drainage Utility Program is a fee-based system where residents and businesses pay to support the maintenance and improvement of the city’s drainage infrastructure.

Drainage Utility Program Overview

The Drainage Utility Program is a user-fee-based system where residents and businesses contribute to managing the city’s drainage infrastructure. All collected funds are exclusively used for drainage management projects, including:

  • Maintaining and improving stormwater systems
  • Repairing and upgrading drainage facilities
  • Preventing flooding

How the Fee is Determined:

  • The fee is calculated based on the amount of impervious surface area on a property, as this directly affects the amount of stormwater runoff generated.
  • Properties that contribute more to stormwater runoff pay higher fees, ensuring a fair contribution to the maintenance and improvement of the city’s drainage systems.

By participating in this program, all community members help reduce the risk of water-related damage and enhance overall water management.
