The Community Development Advisory Committee provides oversight and evaluation of Amarillo’s Community Development Programs.Eleven citizens are appointed by the City Commission representing the city’s four geographic quadrants and the CDBG target area. The success of the program relies on Citizen Participation in the ongoing planning and development of programs and activities.

Community Development Advisory Committee

CDBG, HOME, HPRP and Section 8 are entitlement programs for which Amarillo receives federal funding based on the population and demographics of the city. The ESG and CoC programs are competitive grants. The Summer Lunch Program is awarded by annual application.
