Amarillo-Potter Events Venue District Board

Seven board members of which four are appointed by the Mayor and of the City of Amarillo, and three are appointed by the County Judge of Potter County. The Board members shall serve two (2) year terms or until a successor is appointed. The meetings will be held at such place or places and times within the City that the Board may from time to time determine.

The Amarillo-Potter Events Venue District shall be governed by HB 92, Chapter 551 and shall have all of the powers set forth and conferred in the concurrent resolution and order, and in other applicable law, subject to the limitations prescribed therein and herein and to the provisions thereof and hereof.

The Board shall research, develop, prepare, and submit to the County Commissioners and City Commission its short-term and long-term goals and a plan for the development of the District, proposed methods for the promotion of the District and facilities and activities.
