The City of Amarillo, in partnership with the Amarillo Area Foundation, Baptist Community Services, and the Mary E. Bivins Foundation, is building upon a past study to identify ways to improve, enhance, and supplement programs and services for that 50 years-of-age and older. While the opinion of those in that age group is invaluable, everyone is invited to participate in the survey. Planning for the needs of today and tomorrow is best informed by broad participation across all ages in the community.

The 21st Century Senior Services Development Advisory Board is overseeing the study efforts currently underway including a programming and needs assessment. The current work of the group is building upon the “Blueprint for 21st Century Senior Centers” completed in January 2015. You may find the “Blueprint” document below.
