Amarillo, TX – Amarillo Animal Management & Welfare (AAM&W) is hosting two informational meetings next week to gather public input on proposed amendments to the Amarillo Municipal Code that deals with Animals and Fowl (Chapter 8-2). These meetings are open to the public and will include a presentation from AAM&W staff of all six proposed changes. Both meetings will take place at Amarillo Public Libraries:
Monday, March 6, 7 – 8 p.m., Amarillo Public Library, North Branch, 1500 N.E. 24th Ave.
Tuesday, March 7, 12 (Noon) – 1 p.m., Amarillo Downtown Public Library, Downtown Branch, 413 E. 4th Ave.
The Amarillo Animal Management and Welfare Board has considered and unanimously approved the proposed ordinance amendments. These proposed changes have received letters of support from community organizations including the Amarillo Bi-City-County Health District and the Amarillo-Panhandle-Humane Society Board of Directors.
